The Big Cottonwood Community Council (BCCA) serves residents and businesses in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The BCCA was formed in 1990 by a group of volunteer homeowners and businesses interested in preserving the beauty of the canyon and making it a pleasant place to live and visit. In 1995, it took on the additional task of serving as the Community Council in an advisory role to Salt Lake County government on such issues as zoning, sanitation, and emergency services.
